This was the start. Here we have stripped the old plaster off. |

All plater removed. This is the fireplace and the back wall. The challenge of the back wall is that behind it is the neighbours garden where the lawn is half way up the outside. In other words it is similar to a cellar and therefore seriously damp. |

This is how we dealt with the damp problem. We lined the wall with a thick plstic membrane which runns right down the wall and under the floor. We then built an inner wall infront of the old one. |
